WriteXT ICR Overview
The WriteXT Engine is a technology for converting paper documents into Electronic text that can readily be used in Computer Applications such as Workflow Automation and CRM. The documents are accessible in real time on a secure server, they can be electronically filed, indexed and accessed by a search function creating an ideal Electronic Document Management Service (EDMS).
The Process of conversion begins after the inking stage when a paper document is either:
1.Scanned to produce a digital image using WriteXT technology
2.The inking is captured digitally by using Digital pens and Pen2Text technology
3. The data is converted to text and if required uploaded to a secure server or output to various formats to create a work flow
This involves three stages. The first stage, known as the pre processing stage, eliminates noise introduced by the Image capturing device (scanner/fax machine/digital pen). The Pre-processed input is then examined at specified locations (form fields) for existence of handwritten data. The handwritten data is processed using neural networks to produce ASCII data corresponding to the respective fields. The conversion accuracy is further enhanced in the third stage by providing a dictionary and implementing context dependent rules. The converted ASCII data is exported to acceptable formats such as HTML/XML as per the end-user application requirements. The data is uploaded to a secure server for collaborating in real time.

The Automation Process involves activities across three domains:
- User Domain: The inking and post-inking activity involves the stages of filling a form and creating a digital impression of the ink data. The digital impression can be obtained either as a scanned image of the form or can be digitally captured using a Digital Pen and is stored in a Data server. The Data from a digital pen also has an added advantage of having an option to be applied to the Health and Banking sector.
- Application Domain: The converted data can be directly utilized by applications such a Workflow application leading to productivity enhancements.
Our world class team of software developers will work with you and customise your form design and output hand filled data as text files to automate your data processing.
An example of one such application for the Sales Order Entry eWorkFlow:
WriteXT technology using a scanner to capture ink : The broker could also use a normal pen and fill in the paper application form. Once scanned it will become a text document and the signature will be captured as an image. Now the application can be emailedl for fast approvals or uploaded to a secure server to start the eWorkFlow. See an example Use Batch scanners to process multiple forms.
Just picture, how much time could be saved in government offices across the world if people did not need to manually re-enter the data collected on customs declarations, traffic tickets, case reports and other forms. From traffic patrols and airport customs to child protection services and health inspections, government workers fill out and process volumes of paper-based information related to the citizens and businesses they serve. Now they can save time by using the normal paper forms and be ready for processing the moment they finish writing. using the WriteXT keyless data entry technology.

Some of the other people who could benefit from such a technology marvel are Students (who write copius amount of lecture notes), Police and Defence (any situation which involves paperwork and forms to be sent to multiple locations), Medical (save time storing handwritten data and records of patients), Emergency Service (send information in advance to hospitals), Energy (report from remote locations on urgent matters requiring advice or reporting an emergency with detailed sketches showing the location of the problem), Lawyers (email notes to secretarial pool for easy conversion to text records and files) , Builders (can email sketches from site reporting defects in structure, etc.), Surveyors and Engineers (field data entered into customised paper forms can easily be transferred to corresponding file on office PC). Farmers (modern farmers can write field notes and download to PC files or email from field.), Sales Professionals ( sending orders or request quotes become a lot easier with The Pen and electronic form), Mortgage Brokers, who are daily filling in application forms, which in turn are faxed to the lenders office and Real Estate Agents, who are recording seller or buyer data, handing it over to the office staff to enter into their Contact Management software.
For example, in a Sales Person's role, upon returning to the office, the electronic pen will be connected to a PC. The completed paper Order Form will be downloaded. The same unfilled Order Form will reside as a template on the office computer. Once the Pen is connected to the computer, the quantity, stock descriptions and dollar value will automatically transpose itself in real time in the corresponding "cell" of this Order Form template. It is very much like an Excel sheet where data recorded in each cell of the Sales Form outside the office with be noted in the corresponding cell of the Excel form in the office PC. The legible writing will automatically be converted to a text document, which can be emailed for processing.

Attention all MORTGAGE BROKERS AND FINANCE COMPANIES!
If you want to have a competitive advantage in today's crowded market place, you must evaluate the eForm technology and Document Management systems.
The Intelligent Character Recognition (ICR) engine can convert handwritten notes to text and preserve signatures as a .tif image. That means, a Loan Broker can fill in the details using a digital pen on a plain paper Loan Application form and have the customer sign in the appropriate space. At the click of a button, the application data will become an editable text document and the signature will appear as the signature on the form. Email the documents and you can instantly get Credit checks conducted for fast preapprovals! The Application Form also becomes an accurate and professional looking document for examination.
Alternatively, use a normal pen and paper form. Scan the Documents and convert to text. Email these files for fast approvals. Each form takes 3 seconds to process compared to 6 minutes by manual data entry methods!
In the near future, our technology service will allow you to send forms digitally to your PC via your mobile phone, infrared and Bluetooth.
Email us today with your form specifications. We can write the application to digitally capture the handwritten data on plain paper and convert it to text on your PC.
